Withdrawal Symptoms Of Nexito

I am 31. I have been taking Nexito 10 from last 1 year. I week back I had septoplasty ( Nasal bone operation ) and there in hospital ENT doctor told me to stop Nexito as these tablets are major side effects. So its been 2 weeks am not taking Nexito 10. withdrawal symptoms are many. Like dizziness, Numbness in body, Body pain, sleepless nights, etc. Today I consulted Homeopathy doctor and informed about the above story. He has given me some homeopathic medicine and ensure that after 3 months all medicines will stop and I will be OK. lets see. Thanks.

My husband had septoplasty last year, but he wasn't told to stop any medications. It is not usually good to stop such a medication, cold turkey, as the NIH warns that it could cause these withdrawal symptoms, as well as rebound symptoms, such as dizziness, pain, and rebound depression.

RajaRajan, it is usually best to consult your doctor and follow a proper tapering schedule.

What other medications are you taking?

Nexito contains Escitalopram.
