Verwon Says:Neither! Lortab is a narcotic pain reliever.
And yes to the first poster, if you have been taking them for a long time and stop suddenly you will suffer some withdrawal symptoms. You should never stop these narcotic medications abruptly and you should be under medical supervision while doing so.

Jimmy Says:Yes he's excactly right lortab is a narcotic pain reliever uses for moderate to severe pain!! I have heard that doctors have prescribed darvocet or lortab for depression but that was years ago! lortab is also used for people who have the flu or something and are coughing alot, well lortab makes the coughing ease up or go away but doesn't cure coughing!! Lortab is the brand name for hydrocodone and is the same as Vicodin, norco, lorcet etc.
