Will Bactrim Work For Tooth Infection With Swollen Cheek

my cheek has been swollen for 4 day now and my tooth mouth is in pain I need to know if bactrim can be used for this purpose untill i can get to the dentist to pull my tooth

Rather than taking left-overs from an old prescription, you need to see your dentist, now.

To avoid the risk of developing antibiotic resistant bacteria, you need to be able to have enough to take a full course of the antibiotic, additionally, you need to be sure that an infection is present and that there isn't something else going on.

Then, before the tooth can be pulled, the proper amount of antibiotic needs to be taken for several days, or there's a chance that the anesthetic won't work and you'll feel everything, when they pull it. I had that happen and trust me, it's not something you want to experience.
