been on tekturna for 2 months and i like them,i take at nite and take lotril during the day, seems like a lot but they work well together, my only problem is since taking tekturna ive gain 8 pounds,diet always the same and work out 5 days a week, want to stay on these pills but dont want the weight gain, anybody having the same problems?my weight was 155 now zoomed up in 3 weeks to 163,not happy ,but blood pressures great!

Most antihypertensive drugs, and cardiac medications are known to cause weight gain as side effects, including the ones you've mentioned. The FDA lists other side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, increased urination, and hypotension.

James, is this the only medication you are taking? Can you please post back and claridy? Thank you!

That's strange. I started surfing the net to see if anyone else has had the same problem. Recently, noticed rapid gain in weight, particularly in lower stomach. I have been increasingly tired lately so i haven;t worked out as often, which I see may be another side effect. However, I try to cut calories to make up for this. I, too, would like to know what's going on. Could it be eating with food vs on an empty stomach? Don't know? I'm tempted to stop taking it for a few days to see if there's a change. Maybe I'll have energy to return to daily workout routine.

I have the same problem, 5 Kgs (11 pounds) in 7 months. My cardiologist insists that is not for the tekturna but it has been the only change that I got!!!
