This is generic subutex, not suboxone, which means that it contains only buprenorphine. Suboxone has naloxone as well to discourage patients from abusing the pill. The exclusive patent rights for the drug expired in Oct. of '09.

That was amazing I been down ur road almost to a tee. Ty for sharing and I understand ur pain I too had a severve car accident and was on speed balls zanie bars and I got hit broken bones all over now my back been broken two yrs I will not go back to dope. Nope I refuse

Opana is my DOC.... For almost 3 years I've been taking em. I hate em. Hate the sickness. It's some bad evil s***! But yea- hustling up something everyday. And hell it gets dry! Can't find a thing. Too Many ppl in wilkes co. doing em. I don't recommend doing them. U think u know dope sick? S*** WD from taking opana everyday. Subs are lifesavers. If u can get em. Dr's around here are a**holes w a God complex. They don't listen to u- just ur insurance company. I'm trying right this very now to get off opana and I've got 1 54/411 and I'm taking a quarter at a time. Prolly every 6-8 hours. I'm sticking em- but not all 4. Just first 2. My life is tough- I'm 43 with a 14 y/o girl & 7 y/o boy. 18 y/o son died in 2010. Tough year-lost 4 and only men in the family. Him- my cousin who is age 30 (grew up with me like a brah) and 2 close friends- step dad at Thanksgiving. Shoo- I got bad. Just past 2 years... and I want off! Hate/Love pandas!! Ahhhhaaahhhaaaa! It's hell!

But yeah- subs help. They work. Peace Love and chicken grease.

Don't be a hater, not everyone comes along at the same rate, look at the long comment as just one step on the road to recovery, so stop being so negative, work on that, not other peoples issues. I don't like bullies.

Reply to accident and broke your back: Be careful with the suboxone cause it is addictive too. I was taking it too for three years and once I though I was good to go. I started withdrawing (messing with my bones). Long story short. I went back to pills for 3 weeks and then back to suboxone ONLY took 1-8mg and off the pill too. It's been 5days with out anything. Hopefully it's over. I lived past 7years pills and suboxone. I feel ok totally not my old self put am gonna press on

It's nothing to mock...This person obviously needs prayer and good vibes...My best friend abused every painkiller including sublingual Subutex and she is 100% clean off everything and has about 5 years clean now...There is hope for any addict and how dare you people laugh at this person? Do you think that's gonna help? No I don't think so...It's only because miserable, unhappy people like to make jokes to compare and justify your own addiction saying you're not as bad of an addict. That may be true but please were all struggling in some way shape or form....I don't agree with the mockery responses about this person abusing pills... Uncalled for, why don't we give a message of hope instead? Thanks and all of you be well...I will pray for everyone including myself tonight before bed....May your higher power be with you...

Anyone who's ever taken a subutex and suboxone knows dam well they're nothing alike. You can claim they're the same aside from the naloxone but there's no way. I've been taking them for chronic pain for ten years since I've been out of the military and there's a reason I get subutex and not suboxone. Suboxone is the devil, and Subutex are a life-saving miracle.

I’m going to revive this thread because people need to see this more. I’ve been an addict since I was 16. I am now 32 years old. So half my life I have spent as an addict. I did try and use subutex and suboxone to “cure” my addiction. Every time I became addicted to the subs. I started on methamphetamine then shortly after I started abusing heroin. Anything I could get in to a needle. I tried quitting basically a year after I started. I finally managed to quit when my kids got taken after my wife overdosed and died.

Anyways, cold turkey ended up working the best. I went through some crazy withdrawals and contemplated suicide. I always failed the 100’s of times I quit when I tried using subs or kratom. Now if I ever find myself in pain and don’t want to take an opiate then I take a subutex. It’s kept me from relapsing for 9 years. It has its place and it works for a lot of people! But you will withdraw from it when you decide to quit.

Kratom works well too and it takes wayyyy longer to withdraw from it. About 8 months taking it everyday twice a day and 20-30 750mg capsules at a time. It can kill you if you mix it with other drugs but if taken alone you can take a lot at a time. I’ve thoroughly tested and logged the results over a period of 4 years. I am off it now because of a very strict dose of subutex. Taken for 6 days and weening down a milligram a day.

The difference between suboxone and subutex is suboxone has naloxone in it. It is an opiate blocker and the subutex has no blocker. The blocker can make you feel dirty and gross. But the subutex feels more clean. Anyways I hope this thread helps people. More people need to know of this. It is so much easier to get now at least prescribed. But there is a nation wide shortage at the moment. I hope you all are still doing good and have great lives, you deserve it! I am so proud of you all for even taking the first step and admitting you have a problem. That is the start of a brighter future. My worst day clean is better then my best day high.
