I personally have used phentramine for years off and on. I have lost a lot of weight from the medication. I use it during the hard times like right after the holidays or if I just need a little boost. But they can be addicting for some but when taken under a doctors care and keeping it under control it can be a very helpful weight loss tool. I do know it can cause anxiety and other side effects that aren't so great it just depends on how desparate you really are to lose weight. It also gives you a great burst of energy.

I lost almost about 30 pounds on the medicine and was told I looked too skinny. I have been off it for a couple months and have put some weight back on but not much. I have started taking them again and don't notice anything. I still have my appetite. When I first started the medication I had to remind myself to eat, I had terrible insomnia as well as, it added to my anxiety. I do feel like there is a difference in the type of brands. I recommend buying the pills from the clinic or getting the name brand at the pharmacy.
