I agree. It feels like a hydrocodone to me too. It doesn't work nearly as well as the generic Watson 932 I have been taking for pain.

The pill marked "A333" is in fact listed as generic Percocet (10/325), but I think many others would agree with you that its effects aren't quite up to par with what you would normally expect from this medication.

Ever since Actavis bought out Watson, there seems to have been a downgrade in the sheer potency/efficacy of all their pain medications.

The FDA also allows a pretty significant variability (20-25%) of the amount of active ingredients found in generic medications. So one scenario could be that Actavis is taking advantage of that and putting the lowest amount possible in their tablets to save more money.

Anyone else have thoughts on the matter?

Oh I agree to.ive been on percocets for 2 years now and it seems like the watson 932 help the best out of all the generics.and since Cvs quit carrying the watsons I had my doctor starting next month to start giving me the brand name percocets.I have been told to that they don't always put 100% of the actual pain medicine in some of the generics so the companies that make them can make more money.and I was told if I get the brand name it will have 100% of the pained med. in it.I have always been able to tell when ive done a watson and when ive done example a ip204.major difference.the other generics just don't last as long as the watsons

Can you actually ask your doctor to prescribe the brand name, Percocet? And if so, what pharmacy would carry the brand name? Lastly, does insurance cover the brand name? I am assuming insurance covers it, but would be more of a co-pay than the generic. Please advise. Thanks!

Endocet is a generic form of Percocet. ...its made by the same company that makes brand Percocet so its as close to brand as ur going to get. If u want to try it, I get mine from Walgreen s ....others from cvs...but it is a special order so u must call them at least 2 weeks in advance to assure it will b there when u put in ur script. Endocet has been the best option for me n others since the Watson's are no longer available. Good luck

Some insurance will not cover brands unless the dr writes Brand Name Medically Necessary on the rx. And there are some insurance companies who won't cover it then. It usually requires Prior Approval/Prior Authorization

I agree with you completely so I'm now on oxy 10's but when I'm in a lot of pain I have to take 2, depending on which pharmacy I go to. God I swear they drive me insane. They lie and make you wait until the day you run out or if your lucky the day before. I don't see what the FDA is getting out of this as much as the pharmecutical companies Sorry I spelled that wrong but you get where I'm going with this. Seems we all have had a bad .experience with pharmacies.

Big difference in the two percs are much better and stronger the will go stronger and stronger hydrostatic Plato the will not go higher and higher I have taken 4 and 20 at a time and felt no different. Hydro will Plato and it is reported by the AMAZON the this drug plates. Liver disease is the result of abuse not pain relief or a high!
