My dr. Changed my 20 mg Oxycodone for Oxycodone/Acetaminophen 10/325

Which is stronger because the 10/325 isn't working.

The 20 mg. is 2 times stronger than the 10mg. The 325 part is just Tylenol . The 20 mg is oxycodone which the very strong part that kills your pain . Your Dr. Seems to have cut your pain strength in half.

@Tessa,

I agree with Smith, in that your doctor nearly cut your dose/pain relieving effects in half (even after taking into consideration the 325mgs of Acetaminophen - which is very subtle in my opinion). Subtracting that extra 10mgs of Oxycodone was the biggest alteration and is probably the reason why you're not feeling like the Percocet is working. If I'm not mistaken, it sounds like your doctor is trying to wean you off by prescribing weaker meds. Have you been in correspondence with the doctor in order to find out what his/her intentions are for you as a short term or long term pain patient?

why wont a pharmacy fill a script from 10-3.25 mg of oxycodone with acetamemophin for a script that is 20 mg oxycodne 1 tablet. even though i had been prescribed 175 no. 10 on feb. 14. arent they two different medications?

I have avascular necrosis which seems to be narcotic resistant painwise. I have been on Percocet 10mg but many days it takes up to 100mg a day to cut the pain ( I do physical labor & killing more pain not only let's me work harder but does more damage & causes more pain.. the catch 22) so I can't take that much acetaminophen so I was given 4 20mg straight oxycodone. It doesn't seem twice as strong as the percocet. Is it just me ????
