I started loestrin 24 on the 5th day of my period and would like to know how long until it is effective. The nurse practitioner said one full packet of pills but that conflicts with almost everything else Ive heard or read.
Any advice/opinions/info appreciated.

I'm 15 I've been on loestrin24 for problems with my ovaries. I've been on it for 21 days but on the 20th day my bf ejaculated in me. I take it every day at the exact same time. Am I ok?

Hey everyone..this past month I started using this birth control. My doctor informed me to start my first dose on the Sunday after I get my period. I am almost on the white pills now and am wondering how to go about starting my second pack. After I take my last brown pill, do i wait for my period to be over to start the second pack? I am unsure if I am supposed to wait until the sunday of the week or just keep taking the pills even if i have my period. PLease do lmk

hi I was put on lo loestrin because I do not get my period regularly. When I started the pills I didnt get my period for two months. During my third week of pills ( still the blue ones) i got my period. Is this normal? will I get it again when I am finished with the brown ones?

It should not bc if you miss two pills you are no longer protected. You stopped so you should be good. I understand you are 37 but keep ob mind it takes a little bit to get pregnant. It took us 7 months with our first child and 8 with our second. Try buying ovulation test at a local store and when it says you are ovulatinfg have intercourse that day, skip a day and again the next day. I bet you'll be pregnant in no time!!!

After she lost the extra weight she became pregnant immediately! She now since then has had two beautiful babies! Do ou have any extra weight to loose? Could that be your problem?

Hi Im 20 years old ive been taking loestirn 24 for a while now i was on the pill for two months straight without missing a single does and then i had to skip 5 days because my doctor was late in refilling my pills and now ive been back on them for 12 days and i was wondering how long will it take for it to be effective again or am i already protected??

First off - punctuation and capitalization people. Seriously.
Secondly - YES, you could be pregnant if you have unprotected sex within the first 7-14 days of taking Loestrin, or if you skip a dose. And guess what - the ONLY way to know is to test AFTER you have skipped a period, so try not to freak out because freaking out will not make the test work any sooner!
Thirdly - Be responsible. So many of these comments wouldn't be here if you had thought before you acted. I don't mean to judge, you all can do what you want, but if you are terrified that you are pregnant and you had unprotected sex, it just comes with that choice that it's a possibility. Be careful!
