Neurontin (Gabapentin) has shown up 2-3 times on my daughters urine drug screens. I know she is not taking them. I will pay for a hair test if it can go back a few months and pick up neurontin to prove these urine tests are a mistake.

I have to agree, this is not a medication that is normally included on standard drug tests, since it is an anticonvulsant, not an opiate, or other type of analgesic, or benzodiazepine, according to FDA classifications.

What medications is she currently taking? Providing this information might enable someone to provide more information.

The only lab I know that would have a hair drug test for Neurontin is national medical services in pa. Was the test your daughter took a urine dip test, like you use at home, or was it an actual lab test?? Which drug gave a false positive?? Any time a drug is positive it should be sent to a lab for GC/MS confirmation. Did your daughter sign a chain of custody form and initial a sticker that goes over the lid of a urine specimen container?? If not, the specimen could have been mix up with some other person specimen.
