My doctor wants me to take this two pills every four hours I'm having a knee replacement done at the pharmacies and I mean all the pharmacies won't feel that quantity. What are some of the other medicines that could substitute for the hydrocodone 325– 10 because I will be having rehab and will have to be able to do it

Ask your dr to write you two different rxs, each for half the amount of the rx you currently have.

@Dac,

I would strongly encourage you to sit down with your doctor and see what he/she suggests as far as alternatives are concerned - Because in my opinion there are no exact equivalents to each pain medication, since they all tend to affect each individual so differently. However getting two different Rx's in half the amount(s) is an excellent suggestion by post #1, because if you're worried about not being able to fill a certain quantity of Hydrocodone/APAP, at least you'd have a backup option for that added sense of security and peace of mind.

Good luck to you!
