I am 62 been a diabetic for 7 years. Taking Gemer 1 before breakfast and glycomet 250 in the night after dinner. Now doctor has prescribed Glycomet GP2 morning and Glycomet 500 for night. The quarterly average sugar level was 7.75. 4 years ago and 7.45 2 years ago and it is 7.40 tested 2 weeks ago. If this is a good progress in reduced average why should i be prescribed a more powered medocone.
Also i missed info of i should take the two tablets before or after food.
Thanks.

Generally, unless your doctor instructs otherwise, you should take the medications just before a meal, that way they can start working by the time you are digesting your food and may experience the most blood sugar fluctuations.

The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, flatulence, and low blood sugar.

What is going on with your toes?

Do you keep your diet as low in fats and sugar as possible?
