I'm sorry, but an antibiotic will not do anything to help a cough.

They are only effective a treating or preventing bacterial infections. The FDA lists their typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

How long has he had the cough? Have you consulted his doctor?

I've been coughing for almost 2 weeks,I was taking docsed syrup and adco-lictopent syrup but no change.Is there any other syrup or antibiotic I should take to stop the cough,It's a wet cough

What I know is if you have a productive cough, you need a mucolytic (to dissolve mucus).
