Warfarin To/ Sinthrome/ Acenocoumarol.

my wife has recently, had her meds changed, from warfarin, ? because she says, she is experiencing hair loss, she is now taking, Sinthrome/ acenocoumarol, any one know anything about this one, it sounds just, like same as, same as,[ warfarin,] to me, same old side effects, ? has any one had experience of hair loss, from, one or the other,or bad side effects, thanks,

my wife has veen ob 2.5 mg warfarin since 1994 and has not sufferred from any undue harloss. there must be other cause of hair loss

Hair loss does not appear to be a side effect that is associated with Warfarin; however, when it comes to Acenocoumarol, there is information stating that it can sometimes cause temporary loss of hair on the scalp.

I don't know how temporary it may be, but personally, I would stop taking it if I was losing more hair than I felt comfortable with.

Have you spoke to your doctor about this yet?

YES! I have been taking rat poison since 6/4/12, and started losing my hair end May. The loss is minimal. Doctor says not from rat poison, but I disagree!

Funny! How these doctors say it’s not rat poison. I was told from day one back in 2011 that it is indeed rat poison. I did notice my hair thinning. I was told the hair loss was hereditary. I’ve been on other blood thinners with the same results hair falling out. I am back on Warfarin due to the diagnoses of my disease. Sadly warfarin does not like a lot of foods or combines meds. The only option I have is to stay on warfarin rat poison or die.
