Hydrocortisone belongs to a group of medicines called topical corticosteroids. From what I understand, these work by calming the inflammation that occurs during certain skin conditions or reactions, including eczema. So to answer your question, yes, I believe this medication should be helpful to at least some degree.

Have you already started using it yet? If so, please post back with any updates as to how it's working!

Hello, hydrocortisine should help somewhat also depends the percentage. My son has the 2.5 percent but wasnt enough. He had very bad oozing eczema. You know what i tried on him? Vagisil anti itch lotion! I thought that it would take the itch away only but to my surprise it took away the eczema as well! Its because it contains resorcinol which is good for eczema. Try it out if your kid still has eczema. Its less than 5$.
