They should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor at the regular dosing intervals.

I am 47 yr old man, 76kg weight, like exercising 2hr 12 km walks once per 2 weeks or so. I have a problem of getting to sleep after 11pm. When i go to bed i get terrible seizures, like some demon trying to suffocate me to death. Sometimes i shout aloud without being very conscious sometimes i am conscious to some degree but i still scream Jesus! Jesus! But if i take Valium 5 mg 30 min before i go to bed, i sleep very sound. If i sleep before 10pm i also sleep well. If i take a 20 min nap during day time, say 2pm, at night i sleep good too. My dad (passed away 1988 at 63) used to tell me to unwind before i go to bed. .i.e. do exactly the opposite of what u hv been doing..for like 15 min, or take a beer (He drinks but i dont), then sleep. He used to suffer the same problem. I am now trying half a glass of sweet red wine mixed with CocaCola before i go to bed. (never took alcohol before). It helps but Valium 5 mg helps too and is inexpensive. My question is: Is a 5mg Valium tab bad for me when i take it once a day when i go to bed? like 5 days a week). When i travel is when i need the tab most, but my intake is NEVER more than one tab of 5 mg at bedtime. Please help.

my dr just chnaged my nerve meds, i have been on xanax for 25 yrs, 8mg a day for nthe past 8yrs,dr says now its against the law to perscribe more than 4mg a day, she puy me on 5mg valium, she said they lasted longer, well, the bottle does not say extended release, and i looked it up on line and it says the er are capsules, so i don't know if she gave me the wrong ones or not, anyway, i am going through withdrawls already and its only been 2 days, i can't even tell i am taking these valium, keep in mind, they are 5.0mg not .5, so why am i not feeling them?? i feel very wierd and disorianted, vey tired but can't sleep, what can or should i do ?? any and all advise is appreciated, and in the past i have also tried adivan, and klonipan as well as er xanax, but nothing helps like my regulaar dose 2mg, 4 times a day , can the dr really take them away from me for good, or can she give them back after she finds that nothing else works for me, also she has only been my dr for 4-5 months now, so she only knows from what i have told her, everything that i have told you as well, can she just be trying to see for herself and the new dea laws in ky??

I've got some 5mg valium with a line on one side and the letter "c" on the other. The ones i got aren't in strips so i don't know the make, but I believe they are valium and they do work. I'm just a little wary as i don't know if they are snide or not! Has anybody seen, heard or know what make they are? Any info would be appreciated.
