These are both generic Tramadol 50mg, generic for Ultram. Ultram is not a controlled substance; however, it has been proven over the years that it can be very very addictive. It is used for mild pain. Side effects include insomnia, loss of appetite, dizziness, drowsiness.

And I would just like to add nausea to the list. LOL! For some people this will really rip up your stomach, when I tried it once for my pain, you could set your watch by me, I took my pill and then exactly one hour later, I was in the bathroom worshiping that great porcelain god Ralph.

Yes, I've heard that. I've never had that problem but insomnia was a big one for me.

I have taken Ultram since 1993 for horrible muscle pain. I feel like I have the flu all over and am lethargic and restless legs at night. It took about 30 different medicines, then my doc tried Ultram. It made me so sick and still does today. If you eat breakfast, something like bread and banana it coats the stomach. If not it is like vicodin it makes upper abdomen, like where the real stomach is, the liver, everything hurt through to the back and throwing up does no good and lasts all day long. I take one every morning, that is it. If I dont I feel the same way I did all those years ago and restless legs keep me up all night. If I do, I rattle or talk like crazy, it gets me high which I am so very tired of but being able to move my fingers and legs without pain and sleep at night outweighs the adverse reaction. I get rashes too if i dont eat first. Dont eat fat, like eggs and citric like orange juice. And NO grapefruit juice! bad thing is it gives me upper respiratory problems, allergies to it like sinus, runny nose and dry eyes, coughing, but I have to take it... just not to hurt.

Have you tried the Requip for the restless leg syndrome? Ask your doctor about it, as it can do wonders. I think the side effects might not be as drastic for you as the Ultram. It does not sound like taking the Ultram is a good idea for you. You get way too sick. Also, you could ask for some compazine or phenergan to combat the nausea.
