I was using triphasil pills for over two years now and when I go for refill I got trigestrel pills, so I just wanted to know if they are the same pills or if I am at risk of getting pregnant? Please advise.

Yes, they are the same, just under different name brands for it.

The U.S. FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, spotting and PMS-like symptoms.

Is there anything else I can help with?
