Trazodone is indicated for:
Clinical depression with or without anxiety. Insomnia, Fibromyalgia, to aid in sleeping. Control of nightmares or other sleep disturbances.

ive been prescribed trazadone 50gm and been put upto 150gm,im now taking 200gm on my own will,as i still feel anxiety and lack of sleep,im still breaking down in tears for no reason but not as often,do u think i should tell the doctor im taking more than prescribed

What were you prescribed the trazadone for? It is mainly used as a sleeping aid taken before bedtime. I seriously doubt its going to help your anxiety or crying spells. Ive taken 200mg before and now im back down to 100mg at night but i take it with an anti-anxiety medication as well. In my opinion trazodone wont help those other things. Tell your doctor you've tried 200mg and its not helping, you may need something else or another med to go with it. Hope this helps.
