Tramadol Dosage Tips

How can I maximize the effectiveness of this medication? It does not always work as prescribed but my doctor does not want to change my medication at this time.

I find that taking a 50mg Tab with a 500 mg Tylenol on an empty stomach works best. Drink lots of water! Eat about two hours after. Works well with a 4mg Tizanidine (muscle relaxer too). Sometimes I split the tab to 25mg w/2 Tylenol as a trade off. I have 3 level ACDF Surgery coming up so not taking NSAIDS. Holistic treatments: Epson Salt Baths and products by Dr. Teal Epson Salt Brand. Low cost at WalMart. Heat wrap for neck. Soft cervical collar you pump with air to lift discs up. Lidoderm Patches for nerve pain on arms/neck. Temperpedic foam horseshoe shape neck pillow. Can't lay down without it.
