This is an antibiotic that is used to treat bacterial infections. The FDA lists the typical side effects a possibly including eye redness, burning, irritation, and tearing.

Are there any other questions?

I’m not a Dr. but I know NEVER use an ointment in your eyes unless is a medication OFTALMICO, meaning for eyes only. TERRAMICINA comes in different forms: capsules or tablets and is good for several infections, a medium size tube of cream is for external use on skin and the other form is a very small tube of ointment for eye infection that clealy says
“ OFTALMICO” which means for eyes only.
