Telma 40 Drug Information

I am diabetic. Had bye-pass surgery ten years back. The medicine prescribed for BP was cardace 2.5mg plus seloken xl 50 which was keeking my blood pressure under control. However, three days back I experience a sudden rise in my BP to 200/105. I was rushed to emergency. Was in hospital for 2 days. Now, doctor has changed the BP medicine to Telma 40. But the BP is showing frequent rise to 185/90 levels. My doctor is not available due to christmas holidays. Should I continue with Telma 40 or change back to my original medicine? Kindly advise.

How long have you been taking the Telma? It can take a 4 to 5 weeks for it to reach its full level of efficacy in your body.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.

How are you doing, now? Has there been any change?
