Tazloc Beta 25 Vs Concor Cor 2.5

Updated

I am a 45 year old male. I was taking Losanorm H 50 - 1 no and Concor Cor 2.5 - 02 for my BP condition and the average BP was maintained around 130/90. Recently my Doctor changed the medication to 1 no Tazloc Beta 25 in the morning and 1 no Amlodipine 5 in the evening. I am taking this revised medicine for the last 10 days and is suffering from abnormal variation in BP - sometimes it is spiking up to 160/100. My Doctor advised me to continue with this combination for 6 wks and to make a decision thereafter whether to increase the dosage. I shall request for reply on when can I expect my BP to stabilize and / or what medication may be better for me? My lipid profile is normal now and I apparently have no other complication.

It can take 4 to 5 weeks for your body to adjust to the medication change, which is likely why your doctor asked you to take it for a full 6 weeks, before making any other changes.

The NIH lists the typical side effect as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.

Are these the only medications you're currently taking?

The current medication is:
Morning - Amlodipine 5 + CTD 6.25 - 01 each
Night - Tazloc Beta 25/40 (Telmisartan 40 MG+Metoprolol 25 MG) - 01 no since last two months now. Still the BP range is 150/100. I am also maintaining a regimen of 45 mins brisk walking. My BMI is 23.58 which is within limit for my Ht & Wt. Apparently I don't have any other problem.
Request suggestion to improve the situation.
