Hi Sandy,

Proper dosing instructions are usually best discussed with your doctor since most dosages and timing tend to be very patient specific, depending on what exactly you might be taking each medication for and the severity of your condition.

However, in my opinion, the best way to find out when you should take a medication that has to be administered 3 times daily is to simply determine how many times 3 goes into 24 hours (for example: 3 x 8 = 24...so you would essentially take your next dose every 8 hours)

- The "usual" initial dose of Wellbutrin (immediate release) is 100 mg orally TWICE A DAY.
- The "usual" maintenance dose of Wellbutrin (immediate release) is 100 mg orally THREE TIMES A DAY.
- The "usual" adult dose of Effexor XR is 75 mg/day, administered as a single dose (ONCE A DAY).

I hope this info helps!

Morning with breakfast, although your doctor really should have given you instructions.
