Tablet Seloken Xl
UpdatedWas prescribed S. Numlo 0.25 and Telma 40 when B.P was 150/100 in 2010 by DR. A. Stopped medication after 6 months as B.P. around 130/85. In June 2013 was again diagnosed with High B.P 160/100 to 150 /90 and prescibed tab Seloken XL 25 mg by Dr. B. Should i change to Seloken or should i continue with earlier tablets.

Hi, Jack! How are you?
The first thing you need to know is that hypertension is a continuous condition that you will always have to manage. It isn't cured once medications lower it, so you can't just stop taking them. You may hit a point where you can lower the dosages, or stop one medication, but if you stop all of them entirely, you will always run the risk of it becoming elevated again.
And to which medication you should take, you should follow your doctor's instructions, since they are most familiar with you and your medical history.
Do you get plenty of exercise? Do you watch your diet to keep your sodium low?
