Switching From One Anitobotic To Another Is Ok

Hello I recently have a uti infection my doctor gave me macrobid 100mg 2 times daily and have been taking it 3 days and every time I eat my stomach bloats real bad and very uncomfortable and I don't want to eat and I am also having headaches. I am getting ready to take a cruise in 5 days and I was wandering if I could start taking kelfex 500mg. My doctor put me on this because I told him I would be in the sun a lot and I needed something that was not sun sensitive. I have never taken marcobid before. It got to be the medicine making feel that way. I was going to start taking it today because I can't take this another day and can't talk to him until Monday. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

You should take the medication that your doctor has prescribed for you.

Those can be normal side effects, as reported by the FDA, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.

These side effects are usually temporary and will go away, once your finish your course of treatment.
