Switching From Heroin To Suboxone

Plz help. I want to stop taking heroin...I have 17 8mg/2mg suboxone strips...I can only go about 12 hours without doin H before I want to give in and use..would I be ok taking half a strip 12 hours after my last shot, then the other half a couple hours after? Its just so hard trying to wait 24 hours..mind u this H is not very good, I do 5 bags n don't feel nething, no pins n needles no nothing! I have been doin this amount 4-5 times a day for 2 years..I know my tolerance is high..

The best way is to do it slow. Wait as long as u can (24hrs) and take a sub. Then the next day take another sub, do the same as the day b4. U just gotta get the sub flowing through ur system. Once it's in there u will start to feel better.

I accidentally took suboxone while on 20 mgs of methadone daily and that was he'll but h is different. drink a bunch if water and don't take as much sub at once

Google the COWS scale you will be able to rate you withdrawal symptoms and know the severity of you withdrawals and when you can take your sub. Anybody that tells you a specific amount of time has no idea what they are talking about.

Additionally there is no need to put yourself through misery mild to moderate withdrawals is all that is needed. Be honest with yourself when rating on the scale and you will be ok and feeling fine in no time.

Carter >> what are your thoughts on me switching from 96mgs of methadone/ daily to subutex(not suboxone), like within a couple days? I've done it successfully before but was on 40mg methadone/daily & had even taken my methadone earlier that same day. Literally I felt it was a miracle! I nvr had the slightest withdrawal

Just go thru with h withdrawals
Bc I made a bad choice by relying on subs not to do h anymore . Well , I'm going thru the worst withdrawals of my life . Being dope sick is easier than being sub sick. Trust me - go to meeting . That's what I started after dope but I thought subs would be my cure . So sorry I ever went to a clinic. I'm going to suffer thru this and don't wish this on anyone . I made a choice not to go to clinic anymore bc I just want to be done with this part of my life . Close the chapter on dope/ subs
