Switch From Methodone To Buprenorphine

Hello I was on methodone from three years I started with 110 mg in the last 10 months I've whe send myself down to 60 mg of methodone to switch to buprenorphine. It's been 5 days on it and I still don't know how much to take, I can't sleep at night at all, no appetite, I'm extremely depressed and in need of immidiately advice I texted my doctor and all he said is go to the ER please help!!

Are you on straight Buprenorphine or are you on the generic for Suboxone that also contains Naloxone?

What dosage are you currently taking?

What dosage did your doctor prescribe?

I was on 120mg of methadone/day for 3 yrs. I have been on buprenorphine for 7yrs. It will take your brain a while to adjust to the switch. Probably 10 days.. Methadone is a full on opiate agonist, ppl die from methadone all the time. Bupe is much safer, and actually has a ceiling effect of like 32mg (which is a crazy amount anyway). But w bupe I actually don't feel like I need anything else. I don't drug seek, I function better, look better, (not all dopey) and have my life and am not a slave to this crap.
