Sulfamethoxazole with Trimethoprim is an antibiotic.
It should not be used after its expiration date, because it will lose effectiveness. Using an antibiotic that has lost its potency can cause you to develop antibiotic resistant bacteria.

when the medication comes from the pharmacy, there is not an expiration date on the bottle. Could someone please let me know what the actual shelf life for this medication is? Thanks in advanced.
