This is a combinational drug which is used to treat a variety of bacterial and fungal infections. It contains Sulfamethoxazole + Trimethoprim and is commonly abbreviated SMX-TMP, SXT, TMP-SMX, TMP-SMZ or TMP-sulfa.

i have been on this medicine for a week..i found them in the med cabinet and they have been expired for four years..i had a bad UTI so i took them anyway..i have anal rottage and what looks like cottage cheese coming out thats smells horrible..i am getting married in 2 days and i have no clue what to do..you can smell it from 5 feet away..i will never take this med again..have a dr app in the morning

No this is for a urine infection. It sounds like you have a yeast infection. You need diflucan or monistat(over counter.) Eating about 2 yogurts a day for a week usually cures it, however symptoms start going away after a couple days. If you start having an oder, itch, & discharge, then you may have a vaginal bacterial infection and will need flagyl.

You should never let a smell/odor go for that long.you should see a Dr right away for a yeast infection.They have over the counter indicators available at drug stores to help you determine if you have a yeast infection. Expired drugs that old should really be disgarded.

WELL YOU SHOULDNT HAVE TAKEN SOMETHING THAT EXPIRED FOR YEARS AGO DONT BLAME IT ON THE MEDS BLAME IT ON YOURSELF THATS WASNT SMART @ ALL
