Sulfam Tri Tab Causes Heat Flashes

I am taking Sulfam tri tab, and forgot I was on it (only 2nd day) took one of my two today and had a drink this evening and was hit with extreme nausea and overwhelming hot flashes...is this normal? Is it the alcohol? Alergic to Sulfam?

Sulfam Tri contains the active ingredient Sulfadiazine, this is an antibiotic.

this site is not medical professionals, so you should consult your doctor to be sure, but it was more than likely because of the alcohol.

Such issues are why you are told not to drink alcohol when taking prescription medications, it can aggravate the side effects and make them much stronger.

That is, however, not a typical symptom of an allergic reaction.

Along with those side effects, you may also experience dizziness and diarrhea.

I was diagnosed with mrsa and given an antibiodic called sulfam+tri 800/160.
How could the doctor have known if this is the correct treatment without a test of the wound? It seems to me this is weakening my natural immune system without knowing the true diagnosis?
