Suboxone Or Subutex Doctors That Take Insurance

Updated

Been on Suboxone for about 2 years and I was wondering what Suboxone doctors take insurance for the visit in the state of Ohio? My doctor does 'Peoples Insurance'. If anybody can help me find a better Suboxone dr. or Subutex doc I'd greatly appreciate it, and I do have insurance.

Hi pls anyone help point me in rt direction, I've been on opioids for 13 yrs and I desperately need to find a Subutex Dr in or around Nashville, Tn that takes Blue Care Ive called almost 100 Drs in 2wks and only 1 took Blue Care but wdnt take me as a patient because they are located in McKenzie Tn. I am allergic to Nubain which is in same category as Naloxene. I'm raising my 5 nieces ages 14-6 and I have a 14 yr old daughter myself, my brother passed away in a car accident. I can't afford the OUTRAGEOUS prices I've been told for the office visits. Pls anyone I wd greatly appreciate any advice... Thank you

I have never been able to find a Suboxone doctor who accepts insurance at their offices (I am in the Cleveland, OH area). Unfortunately, every office that I have contacted requires that you pay at least $200 each month just to be seen by the physician, and for them to write you a prescription for a 28 day supply of the medication. The only benefit to having insurance for this type of doctor is to cover the cost of the drug panel that is done each month, and to help pay for the medication at the pharmacy (which is extremely expensive without insurance).

These doctors, owners of the clinics, and the drug companies are making a huge profit off of people who are just trying to get help and struggling to stay sober. I honestly wish that I never went to a Suboxone doctor, as both my body and psyche are completely dependent on this medication.

I'd really like to know why you can get Suboxone by video chat with your Dr but I can't find ANYONE video call OR live that will prescribe "Subutex" or any of the name brands like Buprenorphine, Buprine, Buprinor, Bunogesic, Buprene? I realize some of those won't work for me AND some are even injections. I'm 63 been through pure hell and back but a few years ago I amazed my grandkids by WALKING without a walker. I was on Buprenorphine 8/2 X3 =90 each month.

Now I have my Dr online and ONLY get Suboxone generic. I don't walk anymore. In fact I ONLY lay on the bed and shower maybe ONCE a week. It's to painful and I can't find a Dr under my insurance that will help me. I've even been told to go to another pain clinic and get help with pain meds. I'm a addict after 6+years on Fentanyl 100/48 and Oxycodone 15-20 x5. . So what's a person to do. I didn't get addicted from the streets, I WOKE UP from a coma already addicted to Fentanyl. I'm judged everywhere I go. And my life is a joke. Truly TRULY wish I could have stayed dead one of those times I died. Just a terrible way to exist.

I don’t know how friendly you are with your pharmacist, but they can be really helpful with this sometimes if they are nice. Sometimes you can ask them what providers in the area prescribe this medication and they will tell you, but you can also contact your insurance company and ask them.
