Stoppage Of Levosulpiride

I took levosulpiride for about 3-4 months continuously for gastroesophageal reflux disorder. After stopping the drug I started feeling depressed. Is it because of using levosulpiride?

Yes, this medication is actually also commonly used as an antipsychotic and to treat various other mental health disorders, so suddenly stopping it could cause depression, anxiety, nausea, diarrhea and muscle aches.

It may take a week or two for things to return to normal, however, if it worsens, or doesn't go away, you should consult your doctor.

Hi Paru and Verwon... i used levosulpiride for about 9 months continuosly for gastroesophageal reflux disorder.. As Paru told, after stopping the drug I started feeling anxiety and depressed after 2 weeks of stoppage..

How long does it prolong?? How can I overcome this situation.. Very disturbed not able to concentrate in anything.

I am taking Levosulpiride as prescribed by my doctor for one month. What symptoms should I expect when I stop taking Levosulpiride?

I've been suffering from typhoid fever for the past month. My typhoid test shows a weak positive for IGM. For this I had used Cefixime 400mg for 15 days, but after this treatment my IGM was positive once again. Now my doctor prescribed me Levofloxacin 500 mg for 10 days. Would this help treat my disease?
