Well it is not really your Xanax? So much has changed and out there and many areas in the South you have to jump through hoops. My Family doctor gives them out like Pez, with a free collectors dispenser!

Family doctor's are not supposed to be giving them out, anymore. There are some exceptions they can make, but in most cases, you will now need to see a specialist for such medications, if you require them on a long-term ongoing basis.

The best thing to do would be to ask your doctor to refer you to someone else.

This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.

Is there anything else I can help with?

Verwon, stop being you really think he ( the inquirer) doesn't know about the risks? Come on, now.

Any medical doctor CAN prescribe xanax. Usually it's the ones who over prescribe and are being watched by the DEA that tend to refer you to a specialist. Or maybe they just see drug seeking behavior.
