I've been on sprintec for going on a year now and I recently moved kinda far from my pharmacy where I get my sprintec pills and I got a refill that was picked up for me but I haven't been able to go get them for about 3 weeks now and I usually start my period around the last week of the month , and its the 3rd and I still haven't gotten it yet . is this normal ?

If you've not been able to start this pack of pills, then yes, your hormone levels have most likely been thrown off, causing you to skip or be late.

The other alternative, if you've had unprotected intercourse, is pregnancy.

You may want to check in with your doctor, just in case.

In the future, you may want to look into a mail order pharmacy, to avoid not being able to start the new pack on time.

The FDA lists the other side effects of oral contraceptives as possibly including nausea, dizziness, irritability and weight gain.

Is there anything else I can help with?
