Spotting While Taking Diane 35

Hello! I'm Eve and it's my first time to take Diane 35 so please help me. I'm on my 2nd week in taking Diane 35 and I missed 3 tablets so I took 3 tablets that night. My partner and I had an intercourse on that same night when I took 3 tablets. After 3 days, I'm experiencing spotting which I thought I'm starting to have my menstruation since it's my due date for my menstruation and stop my pill. I'm confused now if this is the side effect of Diane, my menstruation or it could be something else?

Yes, that could be a side effect of taking these tablets, as well as from missing tablets, according to NIH reports. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, mood changes,and weight changes.

You should not stop your tablets, just because you are due for your menstruation. You should always finish the full pack of tablets, unless your doctor instructs otherwise. They may change your cycle, and eventually you will adapt to that. The pills will not adapt to your cycle.
