South Africa Alprazolam

Does anyone know what this tablet is, someone I know is (over ) taking them saying it's a natural homeopathic medicine but this seems like something manufactured by a pharmacy country to me because of the letter/number combo? Its white, round tablet imprinted with wc on top and under the break line the number 787.

Yes the round tablet WC | 787 is Alzam (alprazolam) .25 mg. It is manufactured by Arvind Laboratories out of Ahmedabad, India.

Yes, from what I've found it has been listed as containing Alprazolam, which is a generic for Xanax.

The NIH warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, mood changes, and irritability.

Actually, Alzam is the "brand" name of this drug. It is not marketed in the United States where Xanax held a U.S. patent. It is, however, the same active ingredient "alprazolam" but it is NOT "xanax".
