Simvastatin Tabs

I have been taking simvastatin tabs for 2 months now, choslerol count is good but my trigleride level has increased from taking Vytorin 141 count to taking simvastatin now 232

What is the difference between simvastatin and Vytorin.my doctor change my medication from Vytorin to simvastatin 3 months ago. I now have muscle pain in my back and legs. Could this come from the change?

That is unusual, these medications are generally known to help lower triglyceride levels. What has your doctor advised? Are you watching your diet?

Sharon, Vytorin contains Simvastatin with Ezetimibe, so he has just changed you to taking only one of these medications, rather than both.

Typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, joint/muscle aches, and stomach pain.

Thus, what you're experiencing may just be typical side effects. Have you consulted your doctor about these symptoms?
