I have been taking Prednison prescribed by my doctor for Gout.4 tablets ever day for 7days 20mg thats 80 mg a day. can that cause your blood suger to go up to 500? started lowering my dose to ween me of the Prednison slowly

Yes, the FDA classifies Prednisone as a steroid and they are known to cause that in some people that take them, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, nervousness, insomnia, acne and weight gain.

What medication are you on for your blood sugar?

May I ask how did you learn of the BS of 500 ? Was it yoUR value? Was it taken because of your doctor's order? That is a very high value and should be treated/monitored carefully!!!! If that was YOUR sugar level, be sure to talk with your doctor as soon as possible!
