Side Effects Of Regestrone Tablet 5mg?

hi, iam 33years and having 8month baby .now the problem is iam getting periods for every10days only .for that my gynic prescribed me regestrone tablet 5mg 3 tabs daily for a week and 2 tabs daily for 2 weeks. but with this dose i am getting giddiness,over taking food,laziness,and littile bit weight.is this happens for me becoz of side effects of this regestrone tablet 5mg.

Yes, Regrestrone contains the hormone Norethisterone, which is a synthetic form of Progesterone and you can experience these types of side effects with almost all of the synthetic hormone medications.

If you experience a cycle that frequently, then it is most likely that you are low in Progesterone, so you've developed a defective luteal phase. Progesterone is the hormone that stabilizes the endometrial lining, the greatest amounts of it in women are normally released during the last half of your cycle, after ovulation. Thus, right now you probably aren't ovulating.

It typically does a very drastic drop after childbirth and it can take awhile for your body to regulate the hormones again, so this is basically used to try to give you a boost in it and regulate your cycle again.

i had breakthrough bleeding in feb 2013..den again i had menses in april for two days..after dat i dint get peroids til september..so went to doc..scan has been tkn..nd diagnosed as pcod..nw am using regestrone 5mg...wt cud be da side effects..nd complications f dis disease as wel as treatment..am 24 years old grl..un married..so am tensd abt marital life..l get concieve n da future??

i have continously bleeding and it lasts for 20 to 30 days,i dont know my correct period date , irregular ,i have kid.now doctor advised me to start regestrone .is there any side effects?
