Side Effects Of Metoprolo

Will this medication cause me to have problems with my eyes at time? They remind me of the beginning of migrain headaches,, that I used to have. They are very annoying and I don't like to drive for fear that I will get one of those.

I also have gotten migrane aura's in the past but not for a long while. Several days ago I had such an aura. I have been taking metroprolol ER succinate 25mg twice a day. I went to see an optometrist today for a vision problem, like a film over my eye when I read or do computer work. His diagnosis was my tear ducks not working and could be a result of the metoprolol.

That is, unfortunately, correct, Debjt. This medication has caused such problems for many people and a lot of them have had to stop using it and switch to something else.

I tried it briefly and discovered it caused me to get severe headaches and nothing alleviated them.

Have you tried talking to your doctor about trying something else?

Received preliminary diagnosis of AFIB (go to cardio specialist next week to confirm), doctor upped my dose of this to 50 MG. No other side effects at all. However, as a kid, I had migraines, which were preceded by aura in vision. Migraine ended by 10th grade. Now 49. Since starting this 50mg dosage, all is good--heart rate is great, BP great, feel great, not overweight, actually in good shape, continue working out 4-5 days/week, no issues. However, I've experienced that migraine aura again twice, but only for 10 - 15 minutes, and it goes away, and I don't feel bad at all afterward. Wondering if this is due to increase dosage, which was increased a week ago. Have call in to doctor. Any others have this sort of experience? I have no other symptoms of TIA or possible stroke.

I have been taking metoprolol 50 mg twice a day. I have since developed chronic dry eyes and have to use lubricating drops. I assumed that it was the pain meds I am taking (morphine er and oxycodone for break through)muscle relaxers, gabapentin, trazadone at night for chronic pain syndrome (arthritis and fibromyalgia), digoxin and metoprolol for chronic a-fib. I am waking nearly twice a week or more with terrible headaches but thought it was from my neck in one position too long (I have a slipped vertabra over a fusion) I have chronic pain. I do have alot of cluster headaches I assumed was the oxycodone or my neck in general causing all kinds of symptoms.
