Should Erceflora be inadvertently given intravenously , we can expect some hypersensitivity reactions (chills, low grade fever, etc) soon after the administration. We have not encountered any reaction worse than these. Our recommendation is to give supportive treatment to the patient (antipyretic for fever, rest, etc) while continuing to observe him for any other possible reactions. There is no antidote.

That is correct, the adverse events and possible side effects are not known for this.

It is normally used to treat chronic cases of diarrhea that have lasted longer than 14 days.

The normal dosing is 2-3 vials of the 5billion/5ml suspension for adults and 1-2 vials of the same for children.

Erceflora was also prescribed by my pediatrician for my 1-year old son who was having diarrhea then. However, right after the 1st dose, my son had clustered rashes on his neck, knees, and wrist. He was so restless and kept on scratching the rashes. This went on for 15 minutes until he was given antihistamine.

My pediatrician was so upset because my son was her first patient who had a reaction towards Erceflora.
