Can I take my amitriptylene 100mg. with the Hepatitis C virus? PLEASE can somebody tell me ? Very important ! Thank you

That is something you would need to discuss with your doctor or pharmacist. It really depends on what effect it might have on your and your Hepatitis and none of us can possibly know that since we cannot diagnose or know your whole medical history over the internet. Sorry.

Doctor prescribed 1-2 25mg pills of AMITRIPTYLIN(ELAVIL) at bedtime for ongoing treatment of aftereffects of shingles which I had had for four weeks at time prescribed. T took three pills total and it knocked me out and made me so loopy I quit taking. Pain has subsided some and I feel better just taking couple of regular tylenol caplets. What are side effects of this drug and opinion as to prescription and diagnoses?? Thanks, Jim

hi,i took amitriptyline for years,and was very pleased with it.i had to quit it after it made my blood to thin.wish i could still take it.i took it for my fibromyalgia and it help a great deal.that is the only problem i had with it.take care and glad to see that you are feeling better,faye
