Side Affects Of Evoxac

i have been takingg 30mg of Evoxac three times a day for about the last month for sjogrens disease.for the last week or so, i have been more nauseated than usual, and i have been so tired, i havent even had the energy to do anything for the last few days. today i noticed that my heart was beating too fast, and i got so tired that i took a nap that lasted six hours. a few hours ago, my heart started beating fast again, and i'm starting to wonder if it could be because of the evoxac. does anyone know anything that might help me figure this out?

I took Evoxac for only ten days due to the side effects. Besides the excessive salivation I began feeling very weak (would squat down and have great difficulty getting up, my breathing became labored and gurgley due to fluid in my lungs, in high altitude I really struggled to breath, the mitral valve prolapse (which had never caused ANY problems) became much worse, my blood pressure has continued to be high. Twice I went to the ER and received breathing treatments and recommended to see a pulmonary specialist and cardiologist. Now I am taking diuretics, using an inhaler and continue to be weak. It has been one year and seven months since I took the medication andI believe I am improved as much as I am going to be. My life is permanently changed due to this medication.

I am very sorry about the problems you've both experienced.

If you suffer from Sjogrens, then fatigue, dry mouth, dry eyes, heartburn, GERD, arthritis, joint pain, muscle pain, and more can all be symptoms of it, so not all symptoms may be due to the Evoxac.

However, as with any medication, Evoxac can cause side effects, the FDA lists the ones for this medication as possibly including nausea, sneezing, constipation, flushing, heart murmur, aggravated high blood pressure, and excessive salivation.

Thus, it's hard to be sure which is causing your symptoms, or if it might be a combination of both.
