there's no roxicodone to be found here in Alabama either. the pharmacies say they can't get the 15 mg anymore. my friends doc changed her to the 30 mg pills, which are still availabe, & just cut the # of pills in half. maybe that would work for you as well.

there s a shortage of all generic pain medications due to ineffective or unapproved ingredients, check FDA recalls especially for kv pharmicetiucals an ethex corp. also watson pharmicetiucal questionable, i would suggest you talk to your dr an ask for avinza, a time released morphine sulfate, drs usually have no problems writing it as it supposely don t have no street value, can t be crushed, snorted nor injected, it is a good medication an comes in doses ranging from 30 mg to 120 mg , it be great step down drug for those who have drug problem wan tin g to quit, they can grad. step down from this to loritab or vicodin

For the first time in four months I filled a script for 180 30 mg roxicodone. The old ones! The pharmacy actually took my insurance instead of charging me 4.50 each. The pharmacist said they are now getting as many as they need to fill all of their patients and are taking new ones as well. It looks like the drought is over!!! South Palm Beach anyways.

There were many products on the market, by various companies, that had never been approved by the FDA, thus they were forced to remove them from the shelves, until their safety and efficacy could be proven.

SuperTechnician Says:

Roxicodone (generic oxycodone) in all strengths is rationed to each state on a monthly basis due to the increase in Pill-Mill operations and doctors using poor judgement in writing for this medication as a cure-all for all types of pain. The state of Florida typically uses up its ration during the second week. You will find very few pharmacies willing to fill scripts for people they do not know and if you are trying to fill the script in a town where you do not live, you are highly likely to be turned down -- especially if the doctor is from an area other than where you live or where the pharmacy is (i.e. You live in Destin, FL, the doctor is from Miami, FL, and you try to fill it in Sarasota, FL). This is a classic sign of poor prescription writing and is usually shunned by most pharmacies.

all I can say is this is BULLS*** BY the time the script is given to you and the time you have to fill it let me tell you.. it could be days or even weeks... you have two choices 1- either get sick and go through HORRIBLE withdrawls risking losing your job, not being able to do the everyday obligations or else buy them on the street... what at $20-$25 a peice... okay so then when you do finally find them you actually need to sell your own just to be able to afford your own medication... leaving you short and in risk of going to jail and trafficking also risking losing your job, maybe your kids... all just TO GET THE F***ING MEDICATION YOU WERE PRESCRIBED!!!!! IF YOU WERE PRESCRIBED IT OBVIOUSLY A DOCTOR THOUGHT IT NESSARRY FOR YOU TO HAVE IT WHETHER SLIPPED DISCS OR CAR ACCIDENT!!! They need to make it more accessible to obtain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did anyone ever find somewhere to fill a Roxicodone script? I have switched to Dilaudid, but it isn't the same. I have found it disgusting the way those of us with legitimate issues and prescriptions are being treated...

No No No .. I have been following the slow, steady, horrific attack by the DEA on the medical profession & it's pain patients. It is THEM who have caused the shortages .. & if it's up to them ( and it is ) they may just remove it completely .. but this is hypothetical. Right now, They have closed numerous mfg. plants due to high volume sales/closed the numerous "Pill Mills" as they've been labeled due to fraudulant activity that has been between the dealers, go-betweens ( Dr.Shoppers) and on down the line ... They have indimidated Doctors, Pharmacists AND put limits as to how much the Pharmacy's can order on one month. Consequentially many, many Pain Patient are brutely made to suffer as; not only are they having great difficulty to find a Dr., to treat them anymore ( some of these people's reg. Dr's have refused completely to even write the script anymore out of pure fear of the DEA and what they threaten to do if anything is out of line... much more to this but trying to keep condensed .. lol ... AND incidentally this happened to me with my Dr. of 8 yrs., so I know first hand ) AND along with that .. WHEN they do find Dr. even then, if they get their prescriptions written .. they are more than HARD PRESSED to find a Pharmacy to fill them ... Personally I have to drive 6 hrs., whole day trip when I get my medications .. and I am lucky because of the Pharmacy I dealt with, I saw this coming, have a good relationship and still give them my business since moving ) BUT most people, even when the Pharmacist know them ARE FEARFUL of the DEA .. and are limited .. .the Story of this nightmare will NOT END SOON ... so either do what you must .. but hang on, it's going to get worse..
WAY TOO MANY CHRONIC PAIN PATIENTS ARE SUFFERING BEYOND BELIEF @ the hands of the DEA because ALL THEY ARE CONCERNED WITH IS BOASTING ABOUT THEIR VICTORY'S .. as I've stated above .. BUT NEGLECTING the fallout, collateral damages beyond measure in INHUMANE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS IS IN FLORIDA INCIDENTALLY .. but the fallout is reaching the rest of the country also ... Good Luck

Ohh, I just wanted to know how she planned to do it....not that I would go through with it- as I figured that is what would happen....it would disappear. Just figured if a mail order name popped up, I would try it myself...
I am completely ruined by this shortage.
Otherwise, this is just another day I have lost the bout with the pain and been able to do nothing.
