If it is in a pharmacy dispensed bottle, then it expires on year from the date it was dispensed. The reason for this is because that's when it becomes exposed to the elements that cause degradation.

However, if it's in the original factor sealed container, most pills are good for about 4 years, until the seal is broken.

The FDA warns that this medication can be very harsh on the stomach, so it should be taken with food.
