Sever Hearing Loss From Hydroxy Condon Asathiminphine
UpdatedI was put on Hydroxy Condon/Asathiminphine, for server hip pain. I aksed my bone dr. if there were any sever side effects while taking this med. He said , there are side effects to all kinds of medications taken. I then asked again if there were any "Sever side effects taking this medication?" He said "NO" , not "Sever side effects, and any kind of side effects would disipate after my body adjusted to the meds. Reason he put me on this meds is due to my needing a total hip replacement. I then had some polops removed along with fixing a "devated septum". And again, I asked the "ENT Surgon" if there would be any side effects that would be "Sever" from having this nasal surgery done? He also, said: " There are side effects with any kind of surgery, but not anything "sever", as "Polops removal and fixing the devated septum was 'One of the easyest type of surgery to perfom on anyone with no sever side effects". I elected to have this surgery done because I was "Unable to breathe though my left nostril due to the "devated septum". And I was terrified to go under the knife having a "total hip replacement" without being able to breathe through this nostril due as said by the 'devated septum". "OH NO!! the ENT Surgon said to me", there's nothing to worry about, you'll be able to breathe much better when the septum is fixed while having your hip replacement done". I gave him the list all my medications taking as I do with "all my dr's . And gave him the over the counter herbal meds I was taking just like i do with all my Dr"s. Because I'm a firm beleiver that your Dr.'s should know "everything your taking" including over the counter herbs and or supplements". This included the Hydroxy Codon/Asithminphine, and the dosage, included with this med. plus all the other meds taking. Again, he reasured me I had nothing to fear, and repeated the polops removal, and fixing the devated septum was a "very mionor surgery". So, I went along with his suggestiions on haveing the surgery done. Since the surgery in july, 2013, I have gone "Deaft" in Left ear, and mostley deaft in my right ear". Which started out with getting "Vertgo", "Atropothy in my feet", dizzeness, along with other symtoms. After going to the ER @Smaritan Hospital due to these symtoms, and being severly abused by the ER Nurse atteding me, And receiving a letter of "Appology" from the "CEO @ Samaratan Hospital, Troy, NY, I said to myself, "So much for an apology; "Damage already done'. Since this episode, the hearing continue to get "worst', two differnet plugs were put into my ears to which the ENT Dr. said: The plug/will help to get your hearing back". Not to mention; they didn't and the surgon who did the nasal surgey kept tellling me ; Actually, screeming @ me on one office visit, that, that my hearing loss is and was not due to the "nasal sugery". And he turned me over to his affiiate, to which that alone is another sad, and abusive story in it's self. I have been diganosed with having "combined -"Conductive and Sensiserial Hearing loss in both ears". Again, not to mention the pain, suffering, humilatiions, etc. Recevied from all parties envolved since this "Nasal Surgery". I have now just read an article in a magaizine, that "Hdrocondon along with "Asithiminphine" "IF" abused, can lead to "Sever Hearing loss, and 'Periniment Deaftness" in "Both Ears". This artical read, had to do with "Russ Linburg" who evedenly abused the drug Hydorcondon/Asithminphine, just had a Bionic hearing aid put in after no sucess with a "Cocular inplant in one of his ears." And now deaft in his other ear.. Heres' the point: I have never done drugs in my life, was allowed to take up to six a day for the pain, but after finding out this was a 'Narcotic Drug", which again, Nethier my bone Dr. or this Ent surgeon informed me it was a "Narcotic", I told this bone dr. I would not allow myself to become hooked on any kind of "Narcotics", so, though in the "beginning first taking it, i did take up to 3, sometimes 4 a day, but then found I only had to take 1-2 aday, and told the dr. "Sometimes we have to put up with some phyical pain in life, so, though I only take 1-2 a day, I'd rather put up with the pain then become hooked by taking up to six a day. I've contacted seveal lawyers in my erera, but none would have anything to do or take my case. Does anyone know where I should go to from here. I'm now scared out of my mind in having this total hip replacement done and/or "Further sever complications set in from having this second surgery done. Please help if you have any suggesstions . thank you for hearing my story.
