Scared To Take Lyrica

Ok so i have fibro.. and have tried neurontin, and cymbalta. We were gonna try savella but my me other dr seems to think it will give me same side effects as cymbalta which was increased aggitation and increased anxiety.. im freaking out about this medicine ... someone relieve me of this anxiety... i have med sensitivity and side effects seem common with this one..

Hi haley,

I can't blame you for being scared to give Lyrica a try. I'd be on the fence about it as well if I had to consider it. My mom has actually been on it for almost a year now, only using it as needed for nerve pain; yet still seems to experience a lot of psychological/emotional side effects with it. I hope you can find some closure after reading some of the posts in those threads. I'm finding that for many people this drug can work wonders, but at the same time, comes with a higher risk of side effects (just seems to be a trade off).

Does anyone else have some suggestions?

Great thanks. I guess its kind of 50-50. I just don't need extra things wrong with me to add to my daily problems. And things like edema and weight gain are not very appealing. I was supoosed to start 75mg last night but wanted to wait until i heard anything about personnal exp. I forgot to add in there how lyrica gets along with luke lamictal, restoril, ativan... ? Those are my 3 main concerns...

Still freaking out about it..just the way i process things...ugh generalized anxiety gets me every time...
