Diclofenac, a generic for Voltaren is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medication, commonly used to relieve pain and swelling.

Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, headache and stomach irritation.

I was injected with Diclofenac 3 times within a week due to dental abscess & I do not recommend it as reacted badly due to having poor circulation & CHF, with BP sky high but heart rate dropping too low. My Doctor knew of my chronic illness. I would be careful of using this if elderly or have a heart problem as it apparently constricts the arteries.
