I am on sandos Cinnarizine 25 cause i have now for several weeks been experiencing drizziness and double vision etc. Sandos Cinnarizine is a generic version of Stigeron. It makes me feel better, but still experiencing some Dizziness. I do see improvement on my previous behaviour. It could also be used for when you travel a far road or flight to not get travelling sickness.

I am on this "drug" for vertigo.
Cinnarizine is the active ingredient of Stugeron and Sandoz-Cinnarizine.
General Information
Cinnarizine is an antihistamine useful for treating motion sickness and vertigo (the dizziness or spinning sensation associated with inner ear disturbances). It is also effective for treating nausea and vomiting.
In higher doses cinnarizine has a dilating effect on blood vessels and is used in some circulation disorders.
To prevent motion sickness the drug should be taken 30 - 60 minutes prior to departure and the dose should be repeated every 6-8 hours.
How does cinnarizine work?
Cinnarizine is thought to interfere with signal transmission between the middle ear and the hypothalamus, the part of the brain where nausea and vomiting are controlled.

i have been taking cinnarizaine for vertigo for about 17 yrs as i was diagonised to be suffering from meniere`s syndrome which has no specific treatment except for symptomatic management. in addition to vertigo i was loosing hearing ability steadily. as a result, one of my ear has lost its hearing ability. after a period of lull of 7 or 8 yrs, the other ear too was effected and the vertigo spell was back with a vengeance . this time the hearing loss was very rapid.i was advised for cochlear implant. after consulting doctors specialised in the field of implant, one specilist differed with the line of treatment adopted so far and prescribed NOORTRPIL 800 for vertigo. the result was miraculous. not only the vertigo had vanished within 20 days..i have regained a part of the lost ability to hear in the ear that was effected later. it is relevant to mention that i have a history of serious head injury. i am now 62 yrs but the head injury occoured at the age of 19 yrs. the results that the prescribed drug has demonostrated urges me to share my experience with vertigo effected individuals. i know very well the trauma one has to undergo who suffers from the symptom. it is nothing short of a miracle that the drug noortopil has done to bring my life back to normalcy.

Please advise where I can get Sandoz Cinnarizine - all outlets I've been to say it's off the market and that Stugeron is the correct drug. But the latter is in no way a replacement as it creates far more tiredness and dry mouth than the Sandoz product.

Stugeron is cinnarizine is cinarizinia (in Espanol)- all the same, 1-benzhydryl-4-cinnamyl-piperazine, as far as I can understand it. C'mon people, Google it. A chemical is a chemical, regardless of the brand. Cinnarizine is remarkably effective as an anti-seasickness agent. The smallest dose recommended appears to be around 15-30mg. Common sense suggest you begin there. I found 25mg highly effective all day on the open water without side effects, but that's just me. Cinnarizine is NOT sold in the USA, no reason given. It is sold OTC in Mexico at the numerous Farmacia Similares for a very low price, but you might find only 75mg tablets. Cut them in half. I wouldn't take it other than occasionally without a doc's advice. The notes above might have failed to mention that Cinnarizine "unmasks" Parkinsons symptoms, so should be used with great caution by older persons.
